Agência Europeia para a Segurança da Aviação

A Agência Europeia para a Segurança da Aviação constitui a trave mestra da estratégia da União Europeia em matéria de segurança da aviação. A sua missão consiste em promover as mais elevadas normas comuns de segurança e protecção ambiental no sector da aviação civil.

Uma estratégia comum
O transporte aéreo afirmou-se como a forma mais segura de viajar. Com o constante aumento do tráfego aéreo, revela-se necessária uma iniciativa comum a nível europeu destinada a manter o transporte aéreo seguro e sustentável. Enquanto as autoridades nacionais continuam a desempenhar a maioria das funções operacionais, como a certificação individual de aeronaves ou o licenciamento de pilotos, a Agência desenvolve regras de segurança e ambientais comuns a nível europeu. Monitoriza igualmente a aplicação de normas mediante inspecções nos Estados-Membros e disponibiliza a perícia técnica, a formação e a investigação necessárias. (read more...)
