Europeiska byrån för luftfartssäkerhet

Europeiska byrån för luftfartssäkerhet är grundbulten i Europeiska unionens strategi för luftfartssäkerhet. Vår uppgift är att verka för att den civila luftfarten ska bli så säker och miljövänlig som möjligt.

Gemensam strategi
Flyget har blivit det säkraste transportmedlet. Eftersom flygtrafiken hela tiden ökar behövs ett gemensamt europeiskt initiativ för att behålla den höga säkerhetsnivån. Medan myndigheterna i varje land fortsätter att utföra merparten av de operativa uppgifterna, till exempel att certifiera enskilda luftfartyg eller licensiera piloter, utarbetar byrån gemensamma europeiska säkerhets- och miljöföreskrifter. Byrån kontrollerar hur normerna uppfylls genom att göra inspektioner i medlemsstaterna. Den ger nödvändig teknisk sakkunskap och utbildning samt bedriver forskning. (read more...)
