OPT-OUTS TO REGULATIONS (EC) NO. 1702/2003 and 2042/2003

The publication of opt-outs to Regulations (EC) no. 1702/2003 and 2042/2003, which is based on the philosophy of transparency, makes it easier to find out details about the use of opt-outs provisions by Member States.

 Explanatory note to Opt-Outs This document accompanies the 'State of Play' tables of countries which have negotiated opt-outs to Regulations (EC) No. 1702/2003 AND (EC) No. 2042/2003 (see below). It provides reference to the relevant opt-out provisions of these Regulations regarding the duration of organisation approvals and the date of implementation of certain provisions. 14/07/2004

The Basis Regulation (EC) No 1592/2002, the Commission Implementing Regulations 1702/2003 & 2042/2003 & 104/2004 are applicable to Norway and Iceland as of 1 June 2005

 Table 1702-2003 - State of play on Regulation (EC) No. 1702/2003 This document provides a table, categorised by EU member state, of the opt-outs negotiated on Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1702/2003, which laid down implementing rules for the airworthiness and environmental certification of aircraft and related products, parts and appliances, as well as for the certification of design and production organisations.
